About Our Clinician

At Resilience Psychotherapy, we work in tandem to discover what you want most from our time together. We talk about ways to cope with the situations you find most challenging in your life, and we explore revelations you make about yourself along the way.

We treat adults eighteen years and older.

Cori Frazier Walker

Welcome to the space that Resilience Psychotherapy has created especially for you.

I’m Cori Walker, a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW, Lic #C8438) who provides out-patient counseling services for those that are seventeen and older. I work with individuals who want to strengthen their coping skills, effectively manage mood and personality disorders, and navigate the tumultuous waters of trauma, grief and loss.

I was born in Louisiana and raised in Mississippi. After high school, I jumped right into the college experience, eventually earning three Master’s Degrees. I have over twenty-five years of experience employed in human service fields. I have worked with individuals with mental illness in a variety of settings, including grant funded and nonprofit organizations, in-patient psychiatric hospitalization, two Intensive Outpatient Program/Partial Hospitalization Programs (IOP/PHP), and now in private practice.

I believe we think, feel, and behave in ways that reflect our internal monologue. I believe in empowering the individual so that he or she can live their best life. I am passionate about mental wellness and erasing the stigma that prevents people with mental health conditions from seeking treatment. My approach to therapy is one of collaboration between the client and myself. I use a variety of treatment approaches in my work because one size does not fit all. Using a strengths-based approach, I incorporate into my sessions cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused brief therapy, person centered therapy, and family systems therapy.

As I continue on my path, I seek to embrace all moments regardless of origin. I strive to meet people where they are, recognizing that we are all here with a story to tell. We are all part of the same story… The possibilities are endless. I look forward to meeting you.
